236 Series Power Take-Off
Description
The Chelsea 236 Series Power Take-Off (PTO) gave you the ability to mount an air shifted PowerShift PTO directly on a mechanical transmission as you have done for years with the 442 Series mechanical. This provided the operator a smooth engagement with no gear clashing which helps extend the life of the PTO and transmission gears. The 236 Series featured 4 internal speed ratios, 5 shift options and 12 output options. Twenty three input gear options provided you with coverage on Fuller, Mack, Spicer/TTC transmissions to name a few. One of the more popular features available for the 236 Series was the patented internal self adjusting shaft brake. This prevented shaft rotation on devices such as water or transfer pumps when the PTO is disengaged. This PTO is no longer available.
